Senior Salute: Cy Smith

He waited his time patiently behind the great Nick West but when his number was called Cy Smith rose to the occasion with an outstanding senior. The Conner signal-caller was one of the most exciting players in Northern Kentucky in 2010. The senior threw for 2,196 yards, 16 passing touchdowns, 622 yards on the ground and 14 rushing touchdowns.
In three seasons as a Cougar Smith threw for 2,434 yards, ran for 817 and had his hands in on 35 touchdowns. Not bad for a guy who was only a starter for one year.
